AI Fire, a portfolio company of Audax Private Equity, announces the acquisition of Fire Protection Concepts, Inc. of Golden CO.
THE COMPANY
Fire Protection Concepts, Inc. (“Fire Protection Concepts”) installs and services special hazard fire suppression and fire detection systems in Colorado and the surrounding region. Headquartered in Golden, CO, Fire Protection Concepts provides services for special hazard, fire alarm, clean agent, and water mist systems.
THE DEAL
AI Fire LLC (“AI Fire”), a portfolio company of Audax Private Equity (“Audax”), has completed the acquisition of Fire Protection Concepts, representing the company’s fifth acquisition since Audax’ investment.
THE THESIS
In April 2017, Audax partnered with AI Fire, a leading provider of fire and life safety services to national, regional and local customers. AI Fire offers national account services via its vendor network at Academy Fire and serves local and regional customers through its self-perform operation, Impact Fire. Audax intends to support the AI Fire management team as they build a leading platform through organic growth initiatives and add-on acquisitions within the fragmented U.S. fire and life safety services market. Fire Protection Concepts expands AI Fire’s self-perform footprint in Colorado.
